Rock on the Mount is looking to add Bay Area bands to the line-up. This is the fourth year of the festival, and it is growing in size and reputation. Hosted by Mountain Bible Church, Mark Adams, their youth pastor, is organizing the event.
Here’s what we offer:
- Professional set-up (a touring band is providing the PA)
- Opportunity for exposure to a Christian crowd
- Opportunity to be a part of something big — proceeds from event benefit a well project in West Africa (this is massive; read about it here)
The festival will be divided into two parts — new bands (high school acts just getting started) or college bands (polished acts, but not touring, etc.) and headlining bands (touring/ministry/professional acts). We’re looking to add several bands to perform short sets (three or four songs each) and a few headlining acts (50-minute sets).
We are particularly looking for bands with original material. Covers are OK, though.
If you are a touring/ministry/professional band, please e-mail Mark Adams via the contact form and provide the following:
- Contact information — e-mail, phone number of lead band member or manager
- URL(s) to band website with demos or CD
- Video URL(s) (if available)
- Set-up of band (number of members, instruments)
- Short description of band, i.e. band bio
If you are a new band, please e-mail Mark Adams via the contact form and provide the following:
- Contact information — e-mail and phone number (if you’re a minor — under 18 — get a parent’s permission first, and provide parent contact information)
- URL(s) to band website with mp3s of your music (if available)
- Set-up of band (number of members, instruments)
- Short description of band, i.e. who you are, what kind of music you play, where you go to school, and your walk with God
If you are a college act, you probably fit somewhere in the middle of these two groups. Use your judgment and send the necessary information.
All band requests are subject to review by management (organizer and host church).
Bands will be expected to arrive before the event starts. We may also organize an open mic to give new bands some live experience.
